New Tradition

I started a new tradition this year. A friend of mine named Jessica C. posted her Cmas decorations and 2 were pictures of trees that she puts in her girls rooms. I loved the idea and changed it a little and made it my own. I bought a tree for each of my kid's rooms. Then I had them pick out an ornament just for their tree. Every year we will buy a new ornament for their tree and then someday when they move out (sad to think about!), they will have years of ornaments to take with them. Thank you for the idea Jessica!

She picked out this star for the top. If the truth be told, she originally had a really ugly blue one picked out and wouldn't budge until I found this one! Phew!

Louisa got a pink one and she loves it!

She even tried to hang her own ornament!

She picked my favorite. A tiny silver angel with blown glass head, arms, and wings. I showed it to her in the store and she grabbed onto it and wouldn't let it go!

At first Michael wasn't too excited about having a tree in his room, but when I told him he would get to buy a new ornament every year, he got just as excited as the girls! You should have seen him setting up his tree and decorating it. Just like a little boy again -- but just for a moment.

He would not be serious for one picture. He was more interested in licking the light.

Ane here is Michael's ornaments. He picked a set with all the pool balls in it. I have to say that was my pick too! They look so cool.

Like I said, would NOT be serious. Tree Hugger.
