What Was I Thinking, I mean, Doing?

I have had 2 comments already asking what I was doing sanding my door so I thought I would just do a post instead of emailing everyone that asks. Recently, thanks to my sister-in-law Sherilyn, I got the bug to start remodeling my house. We started in the family room/kitchen area and I was sanding the door that I was about to paint. I didn't let my broken toe stop me -- I just wraped it up and kept sanding and painting. I have too much to get done before our annual big Halloween party for me to take time off! (Keep Sat. the day after Halloween open since you are all invited!) Now you all know what I was doing when I broke my toe!!!

There's A First Time For Everything

There is a first time for everything, even if it takes 33 years!
I was using my cordless sander to sand the top of my door. The 3 pound battery decided to fall off and landed on my bare foot! Ryan, my to-smart-for-his -own-good hubby says that the force at which it was falling was about 20 pounds of pressure. All I can say is OUCH! I went to the doctor and surprise! I had a fracture in my toe. This is the first bone I have ever broken in my entire life!!! I had a good run while it lasted.
This is the battery falling. OUCH!

A Big Thanks to Simplicity Photography

I love to follow blogs of great photographers. One of them, Simplicity Photography, posted that she needed models for an upcoming shoot. I immediately emailed her about my nephew and Abby and she picked us!!!
I have always wanted to get pictures done of my nephew, Aidan, and my Abby together. They are so close it's like they are twins and they fight like brother and sister too! We went to the park to play one time and Aidan started playing with another little girl that was there. Abby came running up to us so upset and said, "Aidan has a new girlfriend!" Don't worry, we explained things to her!
Here are the pictures.

This is my heartbreaker nephew Aidan

Are these kids too cute or what? Here is the website to the Simplicity photography blog if you want to see the pictures bigger: http://photosbyangie.blogspot.com/

Thank you so much Angie!

What Happened In Vegas Didn't Stay In Vegas

Ryan had business in Las Vegas on Friday and Saturday so we decided to go with him.
I took advantage of the nightlife to get some homework pics for my photography class.

We stayed at THE Hotel at Mandalay Bay. It was so fancy schmancy!

We visited the TITANIC exhibit. No taking pictures was allowed but I snuck out my little camera and took a couple!

Bittersweet Day In History

I wanted to take a moment to remember the bittersweet significance of this day.
The bitter, as everyone knows, is the attack on the twin towers 7 years ago. My heart goes out to all those who lost loved ones that day.
The sweet, is my parent's anniversary. On this day 43 years ago, Robert Nathaniel Reed married Jane Adams. This is one of my favorite days in history since the result of this day was me, 10 years later! (Oh, and I guess my 4 brothers are important too!)
Isn't my mom beautiful? Check out those legs!
And my daddy, so handsome. What a great couple!

Girl's Night Out

My sister-in-law, Sherilyn and I have our birthdays in August so we had a girl's night out with our other 2 sister-in-laws to celebrate. We were really in the mood to party so we went to the fabric store and went crazy! Sherilyn was flirting with the stock boy, Annie was dancing on the cutting table, and Chalyn was putting thread in her purse when no one was looking. All of this and I was the one who the cutting lady yelled at for touching her fabric! We need to get out more.

My brothers married the most gorgeous girls!!!
I love my sisters!!

Zion's Canyon

On Monday we drove to Zions Canyon with my parents and my oldest brother's family.
Zions Canyon is so beautiful.

St. George

This weekend we traveled to St. George to visit my parents. It was so nice to see them. The highlight of my trip was the killer sale at the Gymboree outlet followed by In-N-Out Burger!
My dad grew out his beard -- I think it looks great! They call him Grizzly Adams at work.
