Pioneer Day

The 24th of July is Pioneer Day in Utah.
It commemorates the day that Brigham Young
and the first company of pioneer settlers entered
the Great Salt Lake Valley and said,
"This is the right place!"

I made pioneer bonnets, aprons, and skirts for
the girls and me. It was fun to dress up and even
more fun making them with my sister-in-laws!
Abby and Mikell
My sisters in Zion.
(I copied that phrase from their blogs!)
Annie, Suzanne, Sherilyn, Chalyn
(with Mikell down below!)
We met my 2 younger brothers and 3 of my sister-in-laws at a park and ate yummy food and told pioneer stories. The most fun part was the photo shoot! We worked so hard on our outfits we had to get a lot of pictures.

You are so stinkin' talented! I still can't believe all the things you hand made for your last house... the bedspreads, the curtains, etc. Then the Halloween costumes I've seen that you HAND MADE, and now these adorable 24th of July outfits. How cute are you? I love them. I'm jealous. I wish I knew how to sew.
